Mukilteo cookie walk

Bazaars abound this time of year featuring Christmas decorations, handmade goods, homemade jam, crocheted scarves and reindeer for the front yard.

They’ve planned something different in Mukilteo.

A Christmas Bazaar and Cookie Walk is planned for 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Dec. 3 at Mukilteo Presbyterian Church, 4514 84th St. SW.

Buy bazaar items, and get holiday cookies for $6 per pound.

Apply for fire commissioner: Darrington Fire District 24 is accepting letters of interest from people who want to serve as a fire commissioner for the district.

The district’s board of commissioners is increasing from three to five commissioners, as a result of Nov. 8 election approval.

One position is for two years and the other is for four years.

Those who want to apply should submit a letter before 4 p.m. Friday, to Station 39 at 1115 Seeman St. in Darrington.

Make a Christmas wreath: The Arlington Garden Club offers its annual holiday wreath-making workshop at 10 a.m. Saturday in the community room at the Arlington Boys &Girls Club, 18513 59th Ave. NE in Arlington.

Suggested donation is $4 for greenery and instruction.

Participants can bring their own green twine and wreath form or buy them from the garden club for $5.
