Fall Astronomy Day
The annual Fall Astronomy Day helps share knowledge and the experience of astronomy and observing the sky with people in the greater Everett area.
This Friday and Saturday, from dusk (about 6 p.m.) until around 11:30 p.m., the Everett Astronomical Society will hold free public observing sessions on the lawn at Harborview Park, 1699 W. Mukilteo Blvd. (The event will be cancelled if it’s overcast or rainy.)
This event allows people to learn and get their questions answered about the range of telescopes that are available, how different telescopes compare, and talk with local expert amateur astronomers.
Come see planets, detailed views of lunar craters and mountains, star clusters, galaxies and nebulae.
Rocktoberfest: Admission is free to this Marysville Rock and Gem Club show, which runs 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at Totem Middle School, 1605 Seventh St.
The even includes exhibits, dealers, raffles, silent auction, sales, kids activities, food and more.
Australian animals: Meet some “Marvelous Marsupials and Other Australian Animals,” 2 to 3 p.m. Saturday at the Everett Public Library’s main branch, 2702 Hoyt Ave. The family event is free.
