YMCA hosts annual Prayer Breakfast
More than 600 people are expected to gather at the Edward D. Hansen Conference Center on April 6 for the 52nd annual Good Friday Prayer Breakfast sponsored by the YMCA of Snohomish County.
The prayer breakfast is designed to bring the community together in a nondenominational setting to give thanks and seek guidance for the year.
The event is set for 6:45 to 8:30 a.m. Friday in the conference center, 2000 Hewitt Ave., Everett.
Featured speaker is Earl Palmer, who has served as a minister for more than 50 years at numerous churches.

Reed tours colleges: Secretary of State Sam Reed is ready to start his annual tour of college campuses statewide, encouraging students to vote and become more engaged in their communities. Reed also will emphasize civility in politics and society.
Beginning April 9, Reed will visit 45 campuses.
On April 10, he will be at Edmonds Community College at noon and the University of Washington Bothell/Cascadia Community College at 2 p.m.
