BLAINE — Police say a Blaine man injected a 16-year-old girl with methamphetamine three times because he said she was “constantly bugging him” to let her use the drug.
The Bellingham Herald reported that David Lee Svege, 21, was charged this week with distributing meth to a person younger than 18. The charges stemming from the meth incident came after Svege was arrested at a local Wal-Mart trying to steal DVD players.
Police said Svege admitted in a written statement when Svege couldn’t find a pipe to smoke meth, he picked up a used syringe and injected himself with meth. He then injected her twice in the right arm with the same dirty syringe.
The girl had been reported as a runaway by her mother.
