Grandview man dies in tractor accident

GRANDVIEW — The Yakima County Sheriff’s Office says a 57-year-old man has died in an accident at a cherry orchard in Grandview.

The man was operating a tractor to spray the orchard Tuesday night when he became pinned between a tree branch and the tractor.

One of the man’s workers and a passerby attempted to free him. He was dead when medical personnel arrived.
