Head-on crash in Stanwood injures man

STANWOOD — A head-on crash near Stanwood on Thursday left one man hospitalized with serious injuries.

The crash was reported about 4:30 p.m. at the intersection of Marine Drive and Thomle Road, according to the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office.

One driver was found unconscious and flown via medical helicopter to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle. A second driver was not hurt.

Drugs and alcohol are not suspected.

The investigation is ongoing.
