Head-on crash near Snohomish hospitalizes 2

SNOHOMISH — Two people were seriously hurt in a crash near Snohomish on Thursday night.

A pickup reportedly crossed the centerline and crashed head-on with a car around 6:30 p.m. in the 8200 block of Lowell-Snohomish River Road, Snohomish County sheriff’s spokeswoman Rebecca Hover said.

An Everett man in his late 40s was headed west in a Ford Escort, she said. His car was struck by a Ford pickup driven by a Snohomish man in his late 20s.

The Everett man suffered potentially life-threatening injuries and was taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle. The Snohomish man was taken to Evergreen Hospital in Kirkland.

There were no passenger in either vehicle.

Detectives do not know what caused the crash, Hover said.
