SNOHOMISH — The city of Snohomish is looking for three residents to help plan the future of its parks.

Snohomish is forming a seven-member task force with community representatives as well as City Council and Parks and Recreation Board members. The task force will guide the park system’s plan for the next 20 years. Meetings are held monthly.

The group is expected to look into securing stable funding for city parks and to determine if the community has underserved populations in various recreation areas. It aims to develop questions to be used in public surveys.

Members must live or own property inside the city limits. The City Council will appoint the committee members early this year. Work is expected to be completed around October.

Applications can be found at City Hall on Snohomish’s website. Mail completed applications to Ann Stanton, 116 Union Avenue Snohomish, WA 98290 or email stanton@snohomishwa.gov.

For more information call 360-568-3115.

Applications are due to the city by Jan. 20.
