EDMONDS — An Edmonds home-invasion robbery suspect was shot by police in Oregon this week.
Michael Kent Wylie, 48, was wanted in connection with the armed robbery of an Edmonds woman at her home Tuesday.
“Detectives conducted an exhaustive investigation interviewing a number of witnesses before identifying the suspect,” Edmonds police Sgt. Mark Marsh said Friday.
After the Edmonds robbery, Wylie was involved in a police pursuit in the Seattle area and took off to Oregon in a stolen car.
Wylie allegedly pulled a gun on an Oregon cop who approached him while the man was sleeping in a car on an overpass. During the confrontation, Wylie was shot.
He remained hospitalized in Oregon Friday. He is expected to face charges in the Edmonds case.
