Injured hiker rescued on trail near Gold Bar

GOLD BAR — A woman was rescued after becoming separated from her hiking group Saturday on Blanca Lake Trail near Gold Bar.

Snohomish County Search and Rescue responded to a report of the missing woman around 8 p.m.

The helicopter rescue team found her about 20 minutes up the trail from her group, sheriff’s office spokeswoman Shari Ireton said. She did not have any serious injuries.

She was hoisted out of the area by the helicopter due to the steepness of the terrain, Ireton said.
