MONROE — A crash on Friday night on U.S. 2 east of Monroe remains under investigation.
An eastbound Toyota Camry had slowed for traffic and was struck from behind by a Pontiac about 5:30 p.m., according to a Washington State Patrol memo. The location was near 227th Street SE.
The impact sent the Toyota into oncoming traffic, where it was struck by a third vehicle.
Three people were taken to local hospitals, including a Sultan woman, 66. All are expected to survive.
