Learn about fire prevention sprinklers

EVERETT — The public is invited to participate in a fire prevention sprinklers demonstration in south Everett on Tuesday.

The free workshop will include side-by-side fires in a room with fire sprinklers and in a room without them, said Leslie Hynes, spokeswoman for Snohomish County Fire District 1.

The workshop starts at 9 a.m. at district headquarters at 12425 Meridian Ave. S. The fire demonstration is set for 4 p.m.

Participants also will learn about fire protection topics, including public policy and community planning.

The workshop includes lunch. People can register at www.fireteamusa.com.
