LYNNWOOD — The City Council canceled its meeting tonight due to the snowy and icy weather conditions.

The City Council was scheduled to consider raising property, business and utility taxes to help fill a budget gap of at least $21.6 million, according to a news release from the city.

The city also released all non-essential personnel at 3 p.m.

The meeting has been rescheduled for next Monday at the City Council Chambers at 19100 44th Ave. W. in Lynnwood. The tax and fee increases would raise about $7.5 million. The city would still need to make $10 million in cuts to balance its two-year budget.
