LYNNWOOD — A Gold Bar man is accused of beating and biting another driver in a road-rage incident near Lynnwood on Monday.
It was reported about 8:30 p.m. along Poplar Way, just south of town.
Snohomish County sheriff’s deputies interviewed a man with a white truck. He said he was southbound when he saw a parked blue Mazda that was blocking Poplar. He said he honked a few times.
Both vehicles got moving before the Mazda stopped again. The truck driver said the Mazda driver got out of his vehicle then pulled a wooden club on him and began striking him. He also alleged that the other man tried to steal his truck.
At some point, the truck driver reportedly was bit on the arm, and police later observed what appeared to be bite marks. Witnesses had called 911.
Police found the Mazda nearby. The driver, 25, was booked into the Snohomish County Jail for investigation of robbery, assault and harassment.
