MARYSVILLE — Police in Marysville have arrested an Everett man in connection with a bank robbery last month.

The man, 34, turned himself in to police Tuesday and allegedly admitted to the May 20 robbery of the Union Bank branch in the 1000 block of State Avenue, Marysville Police Cmdr. Robb Lamoureux said.

“Being on the run was too hard. It was no fun,” the man reportedly told police.

Police received several tips after surveillance photos of the robbery were released to local media.

The man told detectives that he robbed the bank to support a drug habit and that he’d hit “rock bottom,” according to court papers.

He was booked into the Snohomish County Jail for investigation of first-degree robbery and is being held in lieu of $75,000 bail.
