LAKE STEVENS — A man driving a stolen truck along Highway 9 in the Lake Stevens area was arrested Monday after being spotted by a Snohomish County sheriff’s deputy.
The deputy and his police dog were patrolling an area south of Lake Stevens about 3:30 a.m. when the deputy’s car was passed by a white Ford F-350, sheriff’s spokeswoman Shari Ireton said.
The truck was damaged and dragging debris. The deputy began to follow the truck into Lake Stevens when the truck crashed.
The man ran away but was caught by the deputy and the police dog.
The truck had been stolen from Woodinville, Ireton said.
The man, 38, of Woodinville, was booked into the Snohomish County Jail for investigation of attempting to elude police and resisting arrest.
