LYNNWOOD — Police in Lynnwood arrested a suspect after a report of a pharmacy robbery Wednesday afternoon.
The man in his 20s was taken into custody as he left a Walgreens in the 20700 block of Highway 99.
Police already were investigating a noon robbery at a Rite Aid store about three miles away in the 18600 block of 33rd Ave. W. when they were dispatched to Walgreens at about 12:15 p.m., Lynnwood police reported.
The suspect matched the description of the first robbery. Police were able to surround the business before the suspect left the store.
The man was taken into custody without incident. A vehicle believed to have been used by the suspect was found near the Walgreens. In both robberies, the suspect was attempting to obtain narcotics and implied he had a weapon.
No one was injured.
Detectives are still investigating to see if the suspect may have been involved in other pharmacy robberies in the area, police said in a press release.
