LYNNWOOD — A 35-year-old Snohomish County man was being held Thursday in the stabbing death of another man in Lynnwood.
Police were called to a home in the 5400 block of 204th Street SW early Thursday morning, Lynnwood police spokeswoman Shannon Sessions said.
Witnesses reported that the suspect stabbed the victim, 33, in the house and rode off on a bicycle.
Police found the suspect a dozen blocks away.
Detectives on Thursday were interviewing witnesses who were in the house at the time, Sessions said.
No other arrests are anticipated, Sessions said. The suspect was expected to be booked into the Snohomish County Jail. He wasn’t listed in jail records as of late Thursday afternoon. He’ll likely make a first court appearance on Friday.
The victim and the suspect didn’t live in the home where the stabbing occurred.
“While the two were known to each other, the nature of why they were having a disagreement is still under investigation,” Sessions said.
Anyone with information about the stabbing is asked to call Crime Stoppers of Puget Sound at 1-800-222-TIPS or send a text by entering the number 274637 (spells Crimes) on the “To” Line, then type Tip486 and what you want to say in the Message Box.
