Man killed in south Seattle shooting

SEATTLE — Police say one man in his 20s was killed early Saturday in a shooting.

Police say investigators found around 30 bullet casings. One business and several vehicles were hit by the gun fire.

Seattle Mayor Ed Murray says in a statement that Saturday’s shooting is the third time in a week people have died “as a result of guns.” Following the shooting at Seattle Pacific University on Thursday and rash of fatal shootings in Seattle, Murray said he will call a special meeting of the City Council to address public safety.
