LYNNWOOD — A man whose vehicle struck another car in Lynnwood on Thursday, narrowly missing a bicyclist, reportedly had used methamphetamine and heroin that day. He also was found with $2,300 in counterfeit money, police said.
The man, 41, was driving on 194th Street SW near 44th Avenue West. An officer saw his vehicle strike another car around 5:10 p.m. The man’s vehicle then crashed into a median and went off the road, nearly hitting a bicyclist, according to a probable cause affidavit.
Officers found the Tulalip man sitting on a curb nearby, and noticed a bag in his hand. They found fake $20 bills, according to court papers. There also were washed bills that could be reprinted.
An officer noticed marks on the man’s neck and arms, according to court papers. The man allegedly told police he had used drugs that morning.
He was booked into the Snohomish County Jail for investigation of driving while under the influence, reckless driving, hit and run, and forgery.
