Man robs credit union near Alderwood

LYNNWOOD – Police here are on the lookout for a man with a beer gut and an undisclosed amount of cash.

The man is suspected in the robbery of a credit union near the Alderwood mall earlier today.

The heist happened just before noon at the Verity Credit Union, located at 18530 33rd Ave. W.

Police scoured the area but were unable to find the stout-stomached robber.

Witnesses described the bandit as a white, large-framed man, with a substantial paunch. He’s about 6 feet tall and was wearing a green and red plaid flannel shirt or coat and black workout-type pants. He also wored white tennis shoes, black sunglasses and a brown baseball cap with a gold emblem.
