MUKILTEO — A water rescue at the ferry docks here Monday night turned out to be a man who jumped in the water for fun.
The man, who appeared to be in his late teens or early 20s, was out of the water by the time firefighters arrived just after 5 p.m., officials said.
He was reportedly wearing swim trunks and was bare-chested and barefoot. The man was being checked over by medics Monday night, but he didn’t appear to be injured.
“He thought it’d be a good joke,” Mukilteo Assistant Fire Chief Brian McMahan said.
