LYNNWOOD — A Sammamish man skipped ice cream and opted for his own treat at a Lynnwood Dairy Queen restaurant.
His choice — not on the menu — landed him in jail.
Prosecutors Tuesday charged the man with drug possession.
Police rushed to the restaurant after someone reported that a man was smoking OxyContin, a powerful prescription painkiller, in the bathroom. The caller recognized the smell of burning OxyContin.
An officer found the suspect in his blue Ford Mustang outside the restaurant. The man said he had just used bathroom. After police found suspected drug paraphernalia in his pocket, he admitted he had smoked OxyContin in the restaurant bathroom. Police found two pills in the man’s car.
