OLYMPIA — Another eight sex predators at the Special Commitment Center face charges for having child pornography on McNeil Island.

That’s in addition to seven cases in September.

KCPQ reports the center superintendent, Kelly Cunningham, disclosed the latest cases in testimony Thursday to the state Senate Corrections Committee. Cunningham is asking for a law to limit residents’ computer access.

While residents are confined for treatment, they are not prisoners. They may have their own computers and their mail is not searched.
