Motorcyclist, 65, killed in crash that backed up I-5

LYNNWOOD — A Kirkland man, 65, was killed Thursday morning after running his motorcycle into the back of a car near 164th Street on I-5.

Northbound traffic was backed up for hours after the 7:40 a.m. accident.

A witness gave CPR until medics arrived, Washington State Patrol trooper Mark Francis said.

The man was taken by ambulance to Providence Regional Medical Center Everett but died from his injuries.

He was identified by troopers as William R. Milne.

The car that was hit was driven by an Edmonds man, 32, who was unhurt. The investigation is ongoing.
