SEATTLE — The National Park Service says Karen Taylor-Goodrich has been named the new superintendent of the North Cascades National Park Service Complex in Washington. She’ll start her new job in March.
She has been the superintendent at Sequoia and Kings Canyon national parks in California for the last three years.
Taylor-Goodrich fills a vacancy created when Chip Jenkins left North Cascades last year to become the National Park Service Pacific West deputy regional director in Seattle.
She has more than 30 years’ experience with the Park Service.
Taylor-Goodrich received a bachelor of science degree in geography from Portland State University with additional graduate work in natural resources management.
