LAPWAI, Idaho — The Nez Perce Tribe reports that gambling revenue increased slightly in 2013, while total earnings for its business division took a small dip.
Jamie Olson, of Nez Perce Tribal Enterprises, shared financial information with the tribe’s General Council this past week.
The Lewiston Tribune reported that in a year that saw completion of an expanded Clearwater River Casino and Lodge, total earnings for Nez Perce Tribal Enterprises came in at about $8.1 million. That is a decrease of less than 1 percent from fiscal year 2012.
Olson said lower numbers for 2013 included the tribe’s newly formed Construction Management Group, which operated at a loss of about $88,000.
Olson said the recent hiring of a general manager should be helpful with the tribe’s gambling operations.
