Apply for Marysville school board openings
The Marysville School District has been creating a list of criteria it would like to see in two new school board members that will be appointed in coming weeks.
A recruitment steering committee of local residents and the school board compiled a list of desired characteristics, such as the ability to commit the necessary time and a focus on student achievement.
To learn more about the criteria, go to http://tinyurl.com/MarysvilleBoard.
Public forums are planned for 6:30 p.m. Sept. 9 and 14 at the school district office, 4220 80th St. NE, to discuss the openings in districts 4 and 5.
A map describing the district boundaries for each area is available on the district website at www.msvl.k12.wa.us.
Interviews with candidates are scheduled for Oct. 4. Steering committee members have been invited to take part in the candidate interviews.
