Pedestrian killed on I-5 in Mountlake Terrace

MOUNTLAKE TERRACE — A man was killed Friday morning when he was hit by a semi truck along I-5 in south Snohomish County.

The collision occurred about 7:25 a.m. just south of 220th Street SW and temporarily closed all lanes of the freeway, officials said.

Washington State Patrol troopers believe the man, 33, of Edmonds, intentionally ran in front of the semi after parking his vehicle on the shoulder.

The truck driver was not hurt.

Any witnesses are asked to call 360-654-1204.
