EVERETT — A Tacoma man, 30, was killed Wednesday night after being struck by a pickup truck while riding a bicycle along Evergreen Way in south Everett.
The collision happened just after 7:15 p.m. in the 10600 block near the intersection with SW Everett Mall Way, Everett police officer Aaron Snell said.
Investigators believe the pickup was southbound when it drifted left across the northbound lanes and struck the curb, the bicyclist and a power pole.
The truck’s driver, 56, of Kirkland, was taken to a local hospital. His injuries weren’t believed to be life-threatening.
The name of the bicyclist killed wasn’t immediately available.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation. Part of the road was closed for about two hours Wednesday night.
