CULVER, Ore. — The Jefferson County sheriff says a pickup slammed into a house in the Central Oregon community of Culver, trapping a resident underneath the vehicle.
Sheriff Jim Adkins says 911 dispatchers got the call Saturday morning, shortly before 2:30, and deputies found a driver suspected of drunken driving and a resident who had to be transported to the hospital by helicopter.
Adkins told KTVZ-TV that the crash left the house unstable and firefighters used airbags to stabilize it.
Adkins did not disclose the severity of the victim’s injuries. He says the driver had minor injuries.
