SEATTLE — Seattle police are investigating a family’s report that a man sexually assaulted a young girl at gunpoint inside their home.
Detective Patrick Michaud says the family called 911 early Monday morning to say a man entered their home in the Rainier Beach neighborhood, sexually assaulted their 10-year-old daughter at gunpoint, then fled with several items.
Police searched but were unable to find the suspect.
Michaud says that as police try to determine how the man entered the home, they’re reminding residents to lock or secure all windows and doors at night.
