SPOKANE — Spokane police are investigating after an improvised bomb exploded underneath a parked car.
Department spokeswoman Monique Cotton says no one was injured, but the explosion about 4:45 a.m. Saturday seems to have been “somewhat powerful.” She says it seriously damaged the underside of the car, which was parked near the Monroe Street Bridge.
The FBI, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives and Spokane County Sheriff’s Office are assisting in the investigation.
