Police release image of man sought in shooting

EVERETT — Police are asking for help identifying a man accused of shooting a stranger outside a south Everett minimart on Feb. 10.

A new surveillance camera image of the suspect was released Friday in hopes of generating tips.

The incident happened about 10:30 p.m. Feb. 10 at the 7-Eleven store along 112th Street SE, Everett police spokesman Aaron Snell said.

A customer in the store accused the suspect of “casing” the business. The suspect went outside and pulled a small semi-automatic handgun from his coat pocket, Snell said.

The customer followed the suspect, and the two began arguing. The suspect then shot the customer in the left shoulder. Two other shots were fired and didn’t hit anyone.

The suspect is described as black, about 5-foot-8 and in his late teens or early 20s with a medium build. He wore a tan jacket with dark green and white panels on the shoulders. He also wore a green plaid winter hat with ear flaps.

Anyone with information should call 425-257-8450.
