SNOHOMISH — State troopers have narrowed down what kind of car they’re seeking after a hit-and-run crash Saturday.
A mirror found at the scene likely belongs to a 2004 to 2009 Mazda3 painted “Sunlight Silver Effect,” with four doors and possibly a hatchback, according to the Washington State Patrol.
Investigators issued images Thursday of similar-looking cars, in hopes of generating tips.
A 21-year-old Lynnwood man was driving west on Highway 96 in a tan Toyota Camry when he tried passing the Mazda near Highway 9. The cars collided, sending the Toyota into a tree around 12:30 p.m. The Mazda did not stop.
The man was taken to Providence Regional Medical Center Everett with serious injuries.
