Probe of Brier woman’s death at hotel continues

LYNNWOOD — The death of a woman who fell four stories from a hotel window in Lynnwood on Thursday remains under investigation.

The woman’s name was not released Friday. She was 43, from Brier.

Lynnwood police and the Snohomish County Medical Examiner’s Office are investigating.

“The M.E.’s office has not made an official ruling on manner of death, and it could be some time before they do,” police spokeswoman Shannon Sessions said Friday. “We are not ruling anything out at this point.”

The woman’s body was found by a passerby about 6 a.m. Thursday at the Extended Stay America hotel at 3021 196th Street SW. Police said there were no obvious injuries other than those from the fall.
