A rare arctic ribbon seal spotted last week on the shore near Marysville continues to visit our area. Everett resident Paul Bird shot the photos above from his home Tuesday morning along Steamboat Slough just north of the U.S. 2 trestle.

Arctic ribbon seals are usually found in the waters off Alaska and Russia. One was first spotted in our area after the snowstorm earlier this month.
