REDMOND — A Redmond firefighter was injured early Sunday after a water-saturated ceiling fell on his crew.
Five firefighters were working to divert a water leak on the third floor of a building complex when the plaster board of the ceiling collapsed onto them.
One crew member suffered injuries to his left shoulder and leg.
He was taken to Evergreen Hospital for treatment.
Redmond Fire officials say they have responded to several water-related calls, due to frozen pipes thawing in unheated spaces like attics and crawl spaces.
