Rep. Heck has surgery to remove gallbladder

TACOMA — U.S. Rep. Denny Heck had his gallbladder removed Sunday in surgery at Providence St. Peter Hospital in Olympia.

A spokeswoman, Kati Rutherford, told The Olympian Monday Heck would return to his congressional duties within a few days.

The Democrat from Olympia is running for re-election in the 10th Congressional District.
