Searchers looking for man missing near Baker Lake

BELLINGHAM — The Whatcom County sheriff’s office says searchers are looking for a man who disappeared Saturday near Baker Lake.

The sheriff’s office said Jason Lovelady, 38, of Concrete had been hiking and looking for pine cones with his mother when he went missing.

The Bellingham Herald reported that he was last seen near the Elbow Lake trailhead in the Mount Baker Wilderness.

Undersheriff Jeff Parks said searchers over the weekend found no sign of him.
