50 years ago (1964)
Parks Superintendent John W. Hall said there would be no “jungles” or transient camping spots on park property. All shacks at Pigeon Creek No. 1 had been razed and one remaining structure at Pigeon Creek No. 1 would be condemned.
The public was invited to the first showing of Panther Lake Shores this weekend. Fourteen miles from Everett, there were lake-front lots, creek lots, view lots, a community beach, boat moorage, power, a planned water system, platted property and county maintained roads. Inquiries could be made with Realtors S.P. Putnam, Harry Davidson and C. Arvid Johnson at 4931 Highway 99 S. in the B&M Shopping Center.
25 years ago (1989)
Ann Gibson, of Everett, had been promoted to senior supervisor for Christmas Around the World, based in Kansas City, Missouri. She had been a supervisor for the company for the past five years.
Candace L. Waters had been appointed to the position of wholesale loan manager for Pioneer Federal Savings Bank. Waters previously was manager of the Alderwood Loan Center for First Interstate Bank. She was responsible for management of the Wholesale Loan department and solicitation of new business accounts.
