50 years ago (1964)

Ernest H. Anderson Jr., whose parents live at 828 52nd St., recently graduated from Air Force Officer Training School at Lackland AFB, Texas, and was commissioned a second lieutenant. Hew was a graduate of Everett High School and California Institute of Technology, Pasadena.

Barbara Thompson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Thompson, 1811 Walnut St., was commissioned a second lieutenant in the Women of the Air Force upon graduation recently from Officer Training School at Lackland AFB, Texas. She had been assigned to Greenville AFB, Miss., for training as a personnel officer.

25 years ago (1989)

Snohomish County Schools Public Relations Cooperative was presenting Nancy J. Perry, associate editor, Fortune magazine in a business education seminar at the Everett Pacific Hotel. Panel members were Sen. Cliff Bailey, Dr. Carver Gayton, Mel Harding, Dr. Wayne Robertson, Barbara Shinoda, John Vicklund and Dr. Doyle Winter. Tickets were $15, lunch included.

Michelle Collins, a 1984 graduate of Arlington High School, had been awarded a Meritorious Mast while serving with the 1st Force Service Support Group in Camp Lejeune, N.C.
