Mr. and Mrs. Ole Dahl, of 1414 Larch St., would be honored on their 50th wedding anniversary at an open house Sunday afternoon in the Baker Heights Housing Authority Center. The Dahls, who were married in Everett in 1913, requested that gifts please be omitted.
Jim Duffy, a reserve sheriff’s deputy who had worked hundreds of hours without pay in police and rescue operations, was named last night as the Peace Officer of the Year by members of the Snohomish County Peace Officers Association.
25 years ago (1988)
Davidson Health Care Personnel opened for business in Suite 517 of the Seafirst Building at Hewitt and Colby. Owner Joan Davidson, former director of nursing education at Everett Community College, offered recruitment and placement services for administrative, clinical and support personnel in the health care field.
Working diligently yet quickly, window washer Paul Mason appeared at first glance to be caught up in a game of ping-pong as he took a few long swipes at some gooey window spots on windows of the new Everett High School science building, which was nearing completion.
