Alice R. Larsen of Snohomish observed her 102nd birthday Saturday with little fanfare other than to greet her many friends who stopped to offer best wishes. Snohomish’s oldest citizen was honored by fellow members of Everett Salvation Army Home League with a party during the week.
Nels F. Pedersen and Harold J. Beck were re-elected as directors of Marysville Grange Supply Inc. at the annual meeting of stockholders Saturday in American Legion Hall, Marysville. Lynea Gemmer of Stanwood provided entertainment on the accordion. A certificate for faithful service as an officer of the corporation was presented to Adolph G. Ziebell.
25 years ago (1988)
Carl Larson of Everett had no trouble occupying himself mellowing out in the warm glow of an Indian summer day, after a round of golf at Legion Park. Larson was retired from the U.S. Postal Service. The unseasonable balmy weather was expected to continue all weekend.
A workshop for insect enthusiasts would be held at the WSU Cooperative Extension Education Center on 128th Street behind McCollum Park. More information could be obtained by contacting Sharon Collman.
