Construction was now underway on the 3300 block of Colby Ave. on Glacier Vista, a three-story 24-unit apartment building with splendid views of the Cascades. Its unique main entrance would include a bridge across a pool.
Instruments used by band members of Monroe Senior High and Intermediate Schools would be purchased from proceeds of the annual smorgasbord under the sponsorship of the Monroe Bank Mothers. Pictured were band director Paul Bennett with freshman John Lowber playing a tuba and seventh-grader Cathy Burch playing a saxophone.
25 years ago (1988)
Cousins Betsy Olsen, 3, and Robbie Lee, 4, enjoyed riding in strollers while their fathers Steve Olsen and Bob Lee negotiated a curb at 20th Street and Colby Avenue. They were participating in the fifth annual CROP walk sponsored by North Snohomish County Association of Churches.
Frontier Bank of Everett was pleased to announce the promotion of Pat Carson to vice president and manager at the downtown office, Jerry Larsen to assistant vice president and manager at the Snohomish office and Tom Cave to vice president and loan officer at the main office.
