Darlene R. Vasey, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Warren D. Vasey of 5303 Beverly Lane, a graduate of Weaver Airline Personnel School at Kansas City, Mo., was assigned to the position of communications agent for Northwest-Orient Airlines. She would be stationed in Seattle.
Kim Todd Tuerk, 3928 Colby Ave., was 2 years old today. Grandparents were Mr. and Mrs. Robert L. Tuerk, of Everett, and Mr. and Mrs. Otto Clink, of Snohomish. Great-grandparents were Mr. and Mrs. Charles Tuerk, J.E. Barr, Leona Tuerk, all of Everett, and Archie Olson, of Snohomish. Great-great-grandmother was Daisy Wright, of Everett.
25 years ago (1988)
Work’n More at 36th and Broadway, with the largest selection of Levis jeans and jackets in the county, was having a pre-Christmas sale. There were specials on original shrink to fit 501s, white-washed 501s, black, grey or stone-washed 501s and denim jackets.
The Everett Mall advertised that it had all that Christmas shoppers needed. There were 140 stores including The Bon Marche, Frederick &Nelson, Payless and Sears. It had added a Christmas Marketplace with 25 shops filled gifts.
