Allan White was honored by the Everett Junior Chamber of Commerce for outstanding leadership for running the community development survey for the past two years. He and his wife, Janice, and their four children resided at 717 Rucker Ave.
Col Allen K. McDonald, son of Mr. and Mrs. R.A. McDonald of Rt. 1, was awarded the Ryan Aeronautical plaque.
25 years ago (1988)
Marysville had a new public safety building at 1635 Grove St. Architect John Millenaar of Millenaar/Wicks and Associates of Marysville estimated that the building would be finished by the end of the month.
Del Divers, a volunteer firefighter for Lake Stevens Fire District No. 8, rushed through the woods east of Machias yesterday to smother a patch of brush fire. Bruce Pulver, deputy county fire marshal, said a fire got away from someone burning branches. Fire Marshal Joe Coleman warned all to be careful with outdoor burning.
