50 years ago (1964)
Navy Capt. Robert Peterson of the Everett High School class of 1935 had lunch with four friends, also former Seagulls of the mid-30s. They were Everett Police Capt. Frank Patterson, legislator and Mukilteo Mayor Dick Taylor, Everett School Board member Stan Mitchell, and real estate businessman and community leader Dan Duryee.
A crane pulled supports from gravel bunkers at the 14th Street fill on the waterfront as H.O. Seiffert Co. ended its sand and gravel operations there. The company was moving its gravel storage operations to a location south of town. American Tow Boat Co. would move into the waterfront location.
25 years ago (1989)
A health fair was planned for Everett Plaza Retirement Community, 2204 12th St. Among the participants were cardiologist Jeffrey S. Rose, surgeon Roger A. Niva, dermatologist Susan M. Oldenkamp, registered nurse Carol Schoenfelder, chiropractor Charles Stinger, podiatrist T.I. McCord and pharmacist Steven Strockbine.
