Members of the Everett Park Board and the Lowell Civic Club came closer together today in plans for a new recreational area in Lowell, more than five acres to be deeded the city by Simpson-Lee Paper Co., through Resident Manager Robert M. Boyle. Jules Van Der Mersche presented the case of the Civic Club which desired to make the play area a club project.
Curtis Clare Redwood, son of Mr. and Mrs. Clare W. Redwood, Alderwood Manor, was two years old today. Grandparents were Mr. and Mrs. A.E. Flake of Monroe and Mrs. And Mrs. C.D. Redwood of Snohomish.

Staci Mahagan-McGill of Mukilteo was appointed to Savings and Merchandising and New Account Department assistant at Cascade Savings and Loan Association. She was previously senior savings merchandising officer at the Everett branch.
A parade was always the highlight at Brierfest and last weekend’s was no exception. City council member Jan Fauld tossed candy to youngsters along the route. Meanwhile Amy Erickson was dressed for the occasion as she awaited her turn to march. City Clerk Norma Schultz said that anyone who wanted to be in the parade could be.
