Stuart Cole put the finishing touches on his Halloween decorations Tuesday afternoon at his home at 3120 Grand Ave. in Everett.
He and his wife, April, have been gathering characters for their yard for a dozen years. The house is down a hill and lacks streetlights so children rarely came to their home for trick or treating.
That’s why the Coles started putting up a decorations to attract kids. So far, the highlight of their yard is more than 20 characters spread out including a Superman, a criminal in a striped jail outfit, a cowboy and two Everett High School cheerleaders. The stairs lead up to the porch, which is “spookified” for the occasion with fog machines and more decorations.
The Coles put up their decorations the weekend before the holiday, because they found some of their creations would disappear if they lingered too long. Stuart Cole said he’ll dismantle the yard soon after Halloween.
“It all comes down on Thursday,” Stuart Cole said. “Unless I go fishing.” Share your Halloween photos in our reader galleries at www.HeraldNet.com/yourphotos.
